Bella
In October 2009, Bella was rescued at auction in Oregon by Lisa K. She brought her down to Sacramento and nursed her back to health. When Lisa found out that her family would be relocating, she was unsure where Bella would go to live. That's how we got so lucky!!!
Bella is an elderly draft mare standing close to 16 hands tall. We think she is probably Belgian. She has a very quiet and sweet personality and genuinely loves people. She arrived at Stoney Wood Friesians in May 2010 and we discovered that she loves to pull the cart!
I recently put Bella's cart away for the winter. She is spending time in pasture and is particularly good at finding all the bushes with burrs on them. I am constantly pulling them out of her mane and tail. She is enjoying her retirement with Grady and we will get the cart back out in the spring.
