LAURA AND DAVE RIDE WITH THE PONY EXPRESS!
On June 18, 2008, the pony express began its 148th re-ride. It started at 9:00 AM in Sacramento, CA
and ended in St Joseph, Mo on June 28th. Brave riders covered the trail at speeds of 6-26 miles per hour (a brisk
trot or canter) carrying the famous "mochila" filled with cross-country mail. It was great fun to be part of
this little piece of history that happened right in our backyards!
