Sydney is a 9-year old full size Australian shepherd weighing about 60 pounds and Melbie is an 8-year old miniature Aussie weighing about 28 lbs. Lacey is the lucky new member of the household - a McNab border collie who turned 1 year old in November.
Although they are not related at all, everyone always asks if Melbie is Sydney's daughter. I tell them no, but if you asked Sydney, I think she'd say yes. She certainly loves and cares for her little friend - even pulls the burrs out of her coat! And as for Melbie - she thinks the sun rises and sets on Sydney.
My home is always filled with joy, happiness, and that distinctive Aussie whine. Its never dull (and never truly clean) but living with these three furry friends is so much fun!
